About Affairs of the Vine
Affairs of the Vine, recognized as the industry’s top wine education company, originated out of love and passion for wine. Affairs of the Vine was incorporated in the beginning of 1999 and began conducting seminars that fall, the interactive workshops and seminars were soon requested by colleges and culinary institutes across the country. Our knowledgeable staff is comprised of experienced educators who enthusiastically share their knowledge and love of wine. The educational events are designed to be fun, entertaining and highly informative. Affairs of the Vine conducts a broad range of corporate wine events, extensive wine industry training and team-building workshops. In the year 2007, Affairs of the Vine passionately poured wine for and shared information with over 150,000 people. Barbara Drady
A self proclaimed Wine Evangelist, Barbara Drady
is the President and founder of Affairs of
the Vine. She has always loved wine.
Her many years in the wine industry, combined
with her “thirst for knowledge” for
wine have resulted in her extensive knowledge
of wine, winemaking and wine growing practices.
Barbara is the creator of the innovative Aromatic
Workshop, Wine Challenge Dinners and Wine
Boot Camp® the most requested workshops
at Affairs of the Vine. Barbara Drady
is active in Women for WineSense, serves on
the board of the Napa/Sonoma Chapter, and
co-chaired “Women in Wine 2000.” This
event brought women winemakers from all over
the country to San Francisco to celebrate
and support women in the wine industry. She
is also a visiting educator and lecturer to
colleges and culinary institutions. She
was a featured speaker at the Wine Industry
Financial Symposium. Barbara has been
recognized by Wine Business Monthly and Bay
Area BusinessWoman as one of the leading
women in the wine industry.

knowledge and professionalism to our team. Our
event professionals have a passion for wine
and the ability to impart the knowledge to
